Kabira Mobility, a Goa-based electric vehicle startup, is launching HERMES 75, an eco-friendly delivery scooter, on 12th April 2021. With the launch of this scooter, the company aims towards a sustainable and eco-friendly delivery system.
The HERMES 75 is designed to carry 50 kg weight in addition to the rider, on a balanced platform. Jaibir Siwach, CEO of Kabira Mobility said “Presently, an average food parcel weighs around 10-30 kg and it is carried by a rider using a backpack on his personal petrol bike or scooter. This way of delivery may cause imbalance, increasing the chance of accidents.”
Kabira Mobility, according to Siwach, aims to provide solutions to such practical issues of safety for the rider as well as the environment with the advent of HERMES 75. “The scooter is designed & approved as a safe delivery vehicle and as it is driven by electricity, the delivery cost can also be reduced by 80%- 90%,” says Siwach.
Companies like DHL, BLUEDART, DTDC, ZOMATO, Swiggy, Amazon, and others can change their traditional fleet of delivery vehicles and opt for electric vehicles to foster a sustainable and environment-friendly delivery system.
