- Fronium TranSteel models are developed for Steel Welding, and with Pulse Mode, 70% rework can be reduced with less spattering leads
- 30% higher welding speeds can be achieved with the addition of the Pulse function
- Three Pulse programs give the Welder great options for wider welding applications available with three models
Fronius International, an Austrian-based photovoltaic manufacturer is upgrading its TransSteel series with the addition of the pulse function. Not only does the newly developed pulsed arc allow faster welding speeds on thicker materials, but rework is reduced as the pulsed arc causes far less welding spatter which is a great advantage for the new product.
Fronius is a leading company in the fields of welding technology, photovoltaics, and battery charging technology. To bypass the intermediate arc, which is difficult to control and prone to spatter, they invented the pulse mode. The resulting reduction in spattering leads to up to 70 percent less rework. Furthermore, the pulsed arc allows welding speeds that are up to 30 percent higher than achieved by existing machines.
The TransSteel devices were developed especially for use on steel. With the addition of the pulse function, it has now made these power sources true all-rounders, as a wide range of functions supports the welder in various applications. With the help of the brand-new spot function, even and consistent welding spots can be produced which are required for tackling workpieces.
Fronius has developed three different programs to suit the diverse needs of its clients – Steel, Steel Root, and Steel Dynamic Welding Programs. STEEL is suitable for simple and fast welding applications and has universal characteristics. For root welding STEEL ROOT can be used, and it provides a soft and stable dip transfer arc which have a good bridging ability over wide gaps. The STEEL DYNAMIC welding program, on the other hand, produces a particularly hard and concentrated arc, achieving high welding speeds and particularly suited for deep penetration purposes.
All the TransSteel Pulse models with “Pulse Controlled Spray Arc” provide the perfect settings for minimal spattering and deep penetration. With a wide range of applications TranSteel 3000 compact pulse, the multi-process device with all the three welding processes mastered to the same degree can be used in the workshop, all welding repairs, and in construction sites. For higher speed and options for recurring welding tasks or for small series production, high power units with separate feeder TransSteel 4000 Pulse and TransSteel 5000 Pulse are recommended.
