The structured light scanning technology significantly reduces data capture time and delivers quicker results by using projected light patters with a camera system to capture large areas at one.
Combined with their recently launched software platform RevEng™, Cobalt Design can deliver a one stop comprehensive digital design solution where small to medium objects can be scanned with precision, in color with multiple levels of resolution. Specifically developed for design applications and is ideal for scanning complex surfaces, especially highly detailed organic shapes, this is the first color structured light scanner from FARO. The new product will address a variety of design requirements, packaging design, reverse engineering, prototype design, including digital cataloging, and even jewelry and fashion design.
