An idea and the courage to get it into reality is that what matters! During this COVID19 outbreak, many people from around the country are coming up with new ideas to help the community to contain this disastrous Coronavirus pandemic which is killing the economy and has forced people to stay in lockdown. A youngster Atif Khan in his mid-twenties, along with his partner Abhishek Mishra, without any hands-on experience in manufacturing, is becoming a great support to authorities through his “Coronavirus Disinfection Tunnel”.
In an exclusive interview with Mohammad Munawar Khan, fondly called Atif Khan, one of the founders, and owners of the event management company, Satisfied Media from Pune, we bring you the story behind a bunch of young Corona Warriors. “Along with me and Abhishek, a few of our friends decided to help the community by manufacturing and providing “Corona disinfection tunnel”, said Atif. As of now, Atif, Abhishek, and his friends with the support of sponsors, have voluntarily donated disinfection tunnels to various police departments. With these unique gestures, Atif and his team is proving that “even in darkest times help can be provided if one decides to turn on the lights".
During this lockdown, Atif was inspired by many youngsters who were trying to help society by manufacturing new innovations to fight this Coronavirus. Atif with the help of his engineer friends came up with the idea of these disinfection tunnels, after doing some research online.
Atif believes that these disinfection tunnels will be very popular and will be seen at many places even after this pandemic is over, he says “these disinfection tunnels will be seen at many places in the future because this pandemic has opened our eyes and has forced us to take measures for sanitation and hence, many crowded places like malls, companies, and social gatherings will be interested in getting these disinfection tunnels”. He also added that this can be a new business opportunity for him apart from his event management business.
Currently, they are offering 3 variants of these disinfection tunnels, one with automatic operations and two models which are manually operated. The automatic variant is fitted with a sensor that starts sanitation when a person walks through the tunnel and it is also fitted with a battery pack which can be fully charged within 2 hours and can go on for 8 to 10 hours.
The manual variant is similar but has to be operated manually. The third variant is for sanitizing the bikes which are operated manually. In all the three variants FDA approved sanitizers and chemicals are used for disinfection purposes.
Satisfied Media is founded by two youngsters Atif Khan and Abhishek Mishra
Satisfied Media is now looking to commercialise this Disinfection Tunnels, which will be the need of the hour for private businesses, sectors like malls, offices, housing societies, and many other crowded places, and also distribute it free for authorities fighting COVID19. “We are ready to voluntarily offering ‘Corona disinfection tunnels’ to the frontline workers”, says Atif.
“The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow”, envisioned Nelson Mandela. Youth is the power of every nation and India is blessed with a huge population of youngsters. When they decide to fight this pandemic, bringing the country to normalcy becomes easy, proves Atif and Abhishek and his young teammates.
