Offering six-degree-of-freedom, Aerotech’s HEX150-140HL Miniature Hexapod Positioning System comes with ultra-fine positioning resolution, optimum payload capacity and high process delivery, providing easy, convenient pivot-point adjustment.
The positioning system comes as succession of Aerotech's HexGen (Hexapod product) series which was the world’s first hexapod offering the micrometre-level positioning accuracy launched in 2016, which offers the precise translation in the X, Y, and Z directions and rotation around each of these axes. Backed by more than 50 years of experience in advanced motion control technologies and systems, Aerotech has brought the HexGen HEX150-140HL Miniature Hexapod Positioning System, which provides significantly better minimal incremental motion
“This hexapod’s combination of small size, high precision, and outstanding load capacity provides users with an incredible amount of flexibility along with peak-to-peak specs mean customers know they can count on consistent, reliable six-DOF motion with every use,” remarks Brian Fink, Aerotech’s product manager.
Being ideal for applications in addressing space-constrained, it offers industry-leading minimum incremental motion of 20 nanometers in XYZ & 0.04 arcsec in θxθyθz. It can be paired with powerful controls and visualization software. Aerotech’s new pioneering positioning system is suitable for multiple DOF applications that require fine positioning resolution, including photonic device manipulation, alignment and packaging, optics inspection and alignment, optical wafer probing, aerospace and satellite sensor testing, and synchrotron and beamline sample manipulation.
The positioning system is capable to supports high payloads to 7.5 kg and resists back-driving to 100 N and coordinate with other motion axes such as servo, stepper and piezo using Aerotech’s controllers. HEX150-140HL offers a compact size and supports smooth integration even in most constricted operational environments. The platform and base can be easily customized with user-specific features or mounting patterns.
The positioning system, with clear apertures in the platform and the base of 35 mm diameter, allows multi-directional workpiece access and room for routing of any additional cables and hoses you may require. It is available with Integration by Test as System option which includes parameter file generation, system tuning, and documentation of the system configuration.
Established in 1970, Aerotech, with 6 global service facilities and with direct representation in 15 countries, the company has a wide variety of products ranging in standard motion products, Design and Engineering, Precision manufacturing, Metrology and Vacuum Systems.
