With over three decades of excellence in engineering, ETA Technology has established itself as a global leader in friction welding, Test Rigs, and precision manufacturing solutions. Since its inception in 1991, the company has been at the forefront of innovation, delivering cutting-edge technologies that empower automotive, aerospace, railway, and infrastructure industries. At IMTEX 2025, ETA Technology is set to unveil a range of groundbreaking solutions designed to redefine manufacturing standards and drive operational excellence.
IMTEX holds a special place in ETA’s journey as a platform to connect with industry leaders, explore emerging trends, and showcase its transformative technologies. Highlighting the significance of this event, Sukumaran Nair, Owner and Chairman of ETA Technology, stated, “IMTEX is more than just an exhibition for us. It’s an opportunity to unveil our innovations, forge meaningful relationships, and gain insights into the industry’s evolving dynamics. This event remains a crucial cog in our growth strategy.”
This year, ETA Technology is spotlighting a couple of machines with – its product Line – the “Ball Turning and Burnishing Machine (BTBM) and the Brake Dynamometer” alongside its renowned expertise in Friction Welding Machines, Metal Gathering Test Rigs, and other Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). These solutions epitomize the company’s commitment to precision, efficiency, and innovation. Visitors can experience these innovations firsthand at Hall 5, Stall A113.
A hallmark of ETA’s innovation is its Ball Turning and Burnishing Machine (BTBM), designed for the turning and burnishing ball heads used in automotive ball joints. This machine ensures unparalleled precision, achieving a sphericity of within 4μ and a surface finish of better than 0.1 µRa—among the best in the industry. Capable of tooling Inner Ball Joint (IBJ), Outer Ball Joint (OBJ), and Suspension Ball Joint (SBJ) ball pins, it is a versatile solution tailored to meet the exacting standards of the automotive sector. Some of the world’s largest players in this space have their manufacturing powered by ETA’s BTBMs. The solution comes in various configurations – manual to fully automated.
ETA’s expertise in Friction Welding Machines remains a cornerstone of its portfolio. Friction Welding as a process machine known for its ability to join dissimilar materials with exceptional strength, has transformed manufacturing across industries. ETA Friction Welders’ unmatched reliability combined with its lowest cycle time, has contributed to the production of safer automotive components at a much lower cost and efficiency

Also on display is the Brake Dynamometer, a full-scale system meticulously designed to evaluate braking performance for automotive and light truck brake assemblies. Engineered to handle braking torques of up to 5650 Nm, this system integrates an 8-disc inertia section and electric motor Inertia Simulation (I-Sim), offering precise replication of real-world operating conditions. With features such as hydraulic brake actuation, reaction-type torque sensors, and a corrosion-resistant acoustic chamber, the Brake Dynamometer empowers manufacturers to conduct rigorous R&D and ensure optimal performance of braking systems.
Sumesh Sadasivan, Director- Sales and Marketing at ETA Technology, emphasized the impact of their innovations: “Since 1991, ETA has been a trusted partner in precision engineering. Today, five out of six automobiles in India contain parts made on or tested on our machines. IMTEX 2025 offers us a platform to demonstrate how our solutions enable manufacturers to achieve unmatched precision, efficiency, and reliability.”
IMTEX serves as more than a stage for ETA to showcase its advanced technologies—it is an arena for collaboration, learning, and envisioning the future of manufacturing. This year, ETA is set to captivate audiences with physical exhibits and virtual demonstrations, ensuring their pioneering technologies reach a global audience.
ETA Technology’s legacy of innovation and its unwavering focus on precision has solidified its position as a leader in friction welding and manufacturing solutions. As the company looks to the future, it remains committed to empowering industries with technologies that push the boundaries of what’s possible.
