LMT Tools, renowned for their expertise in precision tools, made a significant impact at IMTEX 2025, showcasing its latest advancements in gear cutting, milling, hole making & finishing, advanced tools and thread rolling solutions. The exhibition, held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, provided a platform for LMT to highlight its recent acquisitions and innovations.
Raphael Lienau Global Head of R&D from LMT Germany elaborated on the company’s strategic acquisition of PWS’ skiving tool and deburring business. He emphasized that both LMT and PWS share a strong commitment to in-house technology, making this partnership a natural progression. “Indian manufacturers, along with customers worldwide, will benefit from this acquisition as we have retained PWS’ core team and production technology. This ensures seamless continuity in quality and service, with the same customer service team from Germany” he added.
Vinay Mathur, General Manager – Engineering at LMT Tools India introduced high-performance products such as the patented Chamfer Cut, gear skiving cutter, and high performance solid as well as indexable hobs. He also highlighted innovations like EASYDrill, EASYReam, EASYTap, Modular series of taps X-change & HPF Max which cater to diverse hole-making & finishing applications.
LMT also presented cutting-edge solutions for e-mobility and the automotive sector. Their precision PCD tools, motion tools for stator motor housing, and automatic wear compensation tools garnered attention for their efficiency in high-volume production. In addition, their portfolio featured solid and indexable milling tools tailored for automotive, aerospace, die and mold industries. LMT Tools has displayed solutions for machining plastics, wood, and composites, as well as aluminum components.

The thread rolling system was another highlight at LMT’s stall, where Akshay Dhope, Product Head of Thread Rolling Systems at LMT Tools India, provided insights into radial, tangential, and axial rolling heads. ‘We have introduced our tangential knurling system, which is very useful in EV shaft knurling applications’ he noted. A live demonstration of the rolling attachments showcased their efficiency in real-world applications.
