Flowlines as an organization have a total of 12 products that cater predominantly to 3 verticals, namely piping division, hydraulic division (customized), and tools division (Japanese brand Hecto). This is one organization that believes in doing most things in-house right from in-house designing to fabrication as also a large in-stock inventory for same-day shipping of thousands of components when the request comes in. Given their prowess in the trade they are today partnering with one of the industry’s leading machine automation and control solutions for various globally known brands. There being at the Imtex 2022 exhibition from 16th to 21st June 2022 to showcase their newest innovations and developments means they have a certain positive standing in the industry.
Flowlines Engineering Private Limited was established in 1989 and is a leading manufacturing solutions company based in Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. Flowlines specialize in offering complete machine automation and control solutions for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical applications. They serve machine builders and industrial end-users with a broad selection of machine technology from the world’s leading manufacturers including the likes of Bosch Rexroth, Bucher, Lapp Kabel, and Yuken among others. They showcased their star-manufactured products at the IMTEX 2022 exhibition taking place between 16th and 21st June 2022 at Bengaluru’s famed Bangalore International Exhibition Center.
Their displayed products included their MEP package services, electrical HVAC fire protecting system, utility piping, e-security system, water treatment plants, and other similar products. They had a separate section in their display for the hydraulic division, where they are the manufacturers of pressers, power packs, and customized Scissor lifts.
Their main product that was launched for the world to observe and use to their advantage at IMTEX 2022 was their much-acclaimed Aluminium Piping System. Their product i.e., the Aluminium Piping is a direct competition to JMS, the latter being the conventional piping method in use in most places till now. The aluminum option that has been brought out is a modular form of piping that doesn’t require activities like welding, and thus saves a lot of time and resources. It works on a plug-and-play concept and thus is user-friendly with the minimum chances of any leaks. Since it is made up of aluminum, it is also corrosion free and can better withstand pressure fluctuations thus increasing the system’s efficiency and longevity.
The company has three verticals namely, the piping division, the hydraulic division (customized products), and the tools division. While their products under the vertical hydraulic division are customizable to user needs, their tools division is under a partnership with a Japanese brand that caters to the automobile industry. Using their products, the latter has the advantage of completely avoiding issues that arise out of human errors that invariably creep in when one has to put things in place using a human being as opposed to a machine or a system. The company’s system calls it the receiver and the transmitter where any communication can be easily and fully tracked through its system thus lessening the chances of any gaps.
Flowlines Engineering is the Systems Integration Partner of Bosch Rexroth for its entire product range for Industrial and mobile hydraulics. It is also the National Distributor and Sales partner to Bucher in India for their Hydraulic elements and is a Sales partner for all Lapp Kabel product ranges.
In an exclusive interview with Machine Maker during the IMTEX 2022 exhibition, P. Santhosh Kumar, the Projects Director of Flowlines said “We have a total number of 12 products. All our piping systems and products are considered as one but are all differently modified. We are a B2C enterprise and we mainly supply to end-users, but we also do business with dealers. We are spread into the automobile industry, press, and pharmaceuticals industry. And we are engaged only in industrial projects and not commercial ones”.
Flowlines’ team of design engineers design and fabricates complete engineered systems, including hydraulic power units, electrical control panels, pneumatic panels, and aluminum framing. Their advanced components and system solutions are found in a wide variety of industrial applications such as wind energy, solar energy, process control, and many more. Their tie-ups with technology leaders in the space of hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls – like Bosch Rexroth, Bucher, and Lapp Kabel help their young team of engineers to assure that the industry solutions they provide are of the highest quality, save power, and give quicker time to value. They are located in Ingur Village, Sulur Taluk in the industrial town of Coimbatore in the state of Tamil Nadu.
