“One Nidec” Policy by Nidec Group to debut at IMTEX 2023

Nidec Machine Tool Corporation announced that it will exhibit its products at IMTEX 2023 (International Machine Tool & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition), which will be held at India’s Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre from January 19 – 25, for the first time as a member of the Nidec Group. Nidec Machine Tool will take part in this flagship exhibition by IMTMA for the First Time as a Nidec Group Company, and debut its Machine Tools under the “One Nidec” Policy.

Nidec which was established in Kyoto, Japan in 1973 by its Chairman Shigenobu Nagamori, is one of the world-leading comprehensive motor manufacturers encompassing more than 300 subsidiaries employing over 100,000 people throughout the world and with annual sales exceeding $13B. In 1979, Nidec became the first company in the world to successfully commercialize a direct drive spindle motor for HDDs based on a brushless DC motor.

In this largest machine tool trade fair held in India every two years, the Nidec Group will exhibit, in addition to its Gear Hobbing Machine GE20A, cutting tools manufactured by Nidec India Precision Tools Ltd. By introducing Nidec OKK Corporation’s machining centre as well, the Company will showcase both its new products and technologies and the diverse lineup of its products as a comprehensive machine tool manufacturer.

Especially in the area of the high-precision machining of gears for EVs, which are expected to be in high demand globally, Nidec Machine Tool is poised to offer Japan’s highest-quality gear-machining technology and solutions, and produce cutting tools locally, to respond to the demands of the Indian market. Nidec will be displaying its products in Hall 4, Stall A 117 at IMTEX 2023 exhibition.
