Shubhline Automation, with its headquarters in Pune, accomplished a pioneering milestone amid the pandemic by venturing into the domain of manufacturing Heavy-Duty Double Column Machines. As one of the few companies in India equipped with the necessary capabilities, skill set, and vision to make heavy-duty machines affordable, accessible, and reliable, Shubhline Automation made a remarkable impression at the IMTEX, leaving all visitors spellbound. The company exhibited one of its flagship, ‘Prostar SHF 1826’, India’s first heavy duty double column machine manufactured wholly by an indigenous enterprise.
Established in 2006, Shubhline is a leading company in the manufacturing of Double Column Machining Centres, as well as the rebuilding, retrofitting, and reconditioning of Machine Tools. They also specialize in General and Process Automation in India. The company offers comprehensive solutions to clients in the fields of electrical, electronics, mechanical, and hydraulics, as well as packaging and manufacturing line applications. In early 2020, Shubhline began working on developing designs for manufacturing Heavy-Duty Double Column Machines. Within the next year, they successfully launched these machines, which were widely accepted by the precision machining industry in the country.
When discussing the overall motivation for Shubhline’s decision to manufacture heavy-duty machines domestically, Rajendra Dudhe, MD at Shubhline Automation, said, “Over the past 24 years, we have retrofitted nearly 400 machines, and what we have learned is that there is a lot of hassle in repairing these machines. It is a very cumbersome process, and the factory units didn’t achieve the desired accuracy or speed when using used or refurbished machines. Additionally, the purchase of machines from abroad resulted in currency outflow for our factory units. These concerns led us to curate our own double column heavy duty machines, and that is why we started manufacturing machines in India during the pandemic.”
Journey of India’s first Double Column VMC
Making a heavy duty machine that matches European standards was one of the toughest challenges Shubhline had to face in their initial stages. The company’s main focus was to obtain the accuracy and precision of internationally accepted standards while making the machines simple, affordable and easy to use. This could only be achieved by using top quality spare parts which had to be vetted by an expert team of engineers. Also, Shubhline firmly believes in not compromising on the quality front, which ensures the accuracy and dependability of their machines. And after four years of entering into this venture, Shubhline is quite successful in changing the notion that Indian machines lack precision and quality.

Apart from this, Shubhline Automation places great importance on the safety and well-being of workers and laborers. They have meticulously designed their machines with a strong emphasis on labor safety. All of their 98 machines have been designed in accordance with international safety standards. The wide range of applications that Shubhline’s machines offer across various industries further demonstrates their versatility and effectiveness. Whether it is the manufacturing of railway bogies, dye and molding industries, JCB component manufacturing, or heavy-duty manufacturing, Shubhline Automation caters to diverse sectors with their cutting-edge machines.
Nagesh Kamble, Marketing Business Development Manager, played a pivotal role in Shubhline’s journey as one of the key persons behind the company’s remarkable achievement. He shared the inspiring story of how their small company accomplished such a significant feat. “It has been a truly remarkable journey developing these machines. Initially, we were uncertain about the number of machines we would be able to sell, but within just two years, we have successfully sold nearly 40 machines, which is a tremendous achievement by any measure. The response from customers has been overwhelmingly positive, as they wholeheartedly embrace our machines”, he added.
Shubhlines’s futuristic exhibits at IMTEX
Shubhline Automation showcased their flagship, ‘Prostar SHF 1826’, at their booth in the IMTEX exhibition. The first product in the SHF Series, which proudly claims the title of India’s first heavy-duty Double Column Vertical Machining Center manufacturer. These machining centers are the heart of PROSTAR’s product line, offering a wide range of specifications and customizable solutions. The machines have gained immense popularity and are known for their ability to meet various requirements, including rapid feed rate, high efficiency, and heavy-duty operations.

What makes the SHF Series stand out from the rest of heavy duty machines is high structural rigidity, ensuring stability and precision during machining processes. The machines are designed to deliver exceptional accuracy, providing reliable results for a wide range of applications. Equipped with a precision linear axis, the machining centers offer smooth and precise movements, contributing to the overall precision of the machining process. The ergonomic design of the machines, coupled with a powerful spindle, enhances user comfort and efficiency. Additionally, the machines require low maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted productivity and reducing operational downtime.
Shubhline Automation’s journey in manufacturing heavy-duty machines has set a new benchmark in the Indian manufacturing industry. With their commitment to quality, innovation, and worker safety, they continue to redefine the standards of precision and reliability in the field. “The reception at IMTEX has been phenomenal, with attendees expressing their admiration for our machines and marveling at how a small company like ours could manufacture such large and impressive machines. We are eagerly looking ahead to future IMTEX exhibitions, where we intend to introduce even bigger machines”, concluded Nagesh.
