3D Engineering (Services division) is part of 3D Engineering Automation, a leading CAD, CAM, and CAE software provider and comprehensive engineering solutions. The Pune-based company has now expanded their services to include comprehensive engineering solutions to address the needs of their customers who were previously relying on third-party companies for support and services. “We recognized that our customers did not have the necessary digital infrastructure to work on these services themselves, and as a result, we launched our new venture, that is 3D Engineering Services, for providing engineering solutions to help businesses streamline their operations, reduce costs, and accelerate innovation.”, said Ajay Deshkar, Partner and CEO of 3D Engineering.

Sandeepak Natu, Executive Consultant, highlighted the need for participating in Hannover Messe 2023 and said, “We want to put ourselves here in Europe. We have to realize that some of the best minds of digitalization, simulation, and artificial intelligence are here. This also gives us an opportunity to learn from them.” He also talked about the Hannover Messe and how it is the world’s largest trade fair for industrial technology which attracts numerous like-minded people from across the globe. As one of the very few companies from India to attend the expo, 3D Engineering saw this as an opportunity to showcase their expertise and network with industry experts.

Digital transformation: The future of manufacturing sector

Digital transformation is the new buzz-word all around the world today. Although the manufacturing sector is behind the curve in terms of digital transformation, it is catching up with other industries. Mayuresh Hoshing, General Manager, believes that the future is bright, and the digital transformation will soon go beyond the consumer and domestic usage. While talking about this new venture he said, “The customers who are overseas will be outsourcing their work to India for manufacturing services, so they will be extra cautious about the quality. They will require assurance of quality to gain our trust. 3D Engineering plans to provide this assurance through various technological elements, including virtual reality and online meetings. By doing so, the customers can be less worried about the quality of work done remotely. Moreover, they will also receive a price advantage as the work will be done from India.”

Chaitanya Deshkar,Product Manager, highlighted the endless opportunities that Virtual Reality (VR) offers in the manufacturing sector. While talking about the applications of VR in the manufacturing sector he said, “Our team at 3D Engineering Services can take a 3D file of a machine or a component and visualize it in a 3D space using Virtual Reality. With this technology, we can simulate the product, allowing individuals to touch and feel it through haptics. We can move the product around and place it in different environments, providing a realistic experience to those working globally or located thousands of miles away. This technology has proven to be extremely beneficial for remote collaboration and customer engagement..”
