The event, which takes place from April 17th to 21st, 2023, brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors from five continents to showcase the latest technologies and solutions for the manufacturing sector.
In 2015, the world heard the roar of “Make in India” for the first time at Hannover Messe, the leading trade fair for manufacturing. The campaign, led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, brought Indian manufacturing to the forefront of the global stage. During the press preview meet held in February 2023, Hari Shanker, the founder and managing editor of Machine Maker, met with more than 25 exhibitors who explained how their companies are planning to showcase their products at Hannover Messe. The event is scheduled from April 17th to 21st, 2023, and will host 4,059 exhibitors from five continents, with Indonesia as the partner country under the theme “Industrial Transformation – Making the Difference.”
In 2015, when India was the partner country, more than 350 Indian companies exhibited at the show had a strong impact worldwide, promoting India’s brand. “We have been participating in Hannover Messe for more than a decade, but during 2015, when India was the partner country, we had one of the best exhibitions at Hannover Messe. In the current year of Hannover Messe, we are looking forward to augmenting our customer base in Europe by showcasing our strength of being a one-stop solution provider for the manufacturing industry”, said Manoj Kabre, Vice President – Marketing of INDO-MIM, one of the leading players in the field of Metal Injection Molding capabilities. INDO-MIM is based in Bangalore, and Europe is one of their strategic markets; they have their European office in Stuttgart.

ELGi Compressors Europe, a subsidiary of ELGi Equipments Limited, a renowned global manufacturer of air compressors, is all set to showcase its latest compressed air innovations at Hannover Messe. Chris Ringlstetter, President at ELGi Europe, said, “ELGi is back at Hannover Messe to continue reshaping the compressed air landscape.” ELGi has significantly expanded and strengthened its sales and service organization across Europe in the past four years, supporting an increasingly robust network of channel partners to build strong partnerships with customers across the region, he added.
Hannover Messe 2023, the leading trade fair for manufacturing, will have 18 halls spread out across the Hannover Fair complex, showcasing the latest technologies and solutions across several key topics. The topics include AI & Machine Learning, Carbon-neutral Production, Energy Management, Hydrogen & Fuel Cells, and Industry 4.0.

The event will also feature Indonesia, one of the largest economies from the ASEAN region, as the partner country. Their motto for the event is “Making Indonesia 4.0.” Climate change, energy shortages, disrupted supply chains, and a shortage of skilled manpower are key issues expected to take centre stage during the exhibition.
Ahmedabad-based Source India, which has been offering precision metal components manufactured through the casting process to the global market for 20 years, is another regular exhibitor at Hannover Messe. “We have a strong customer base in Germany, France, Sweden, Finland, the US, and Israel. We can produce components from 50 gms to 3000 kgs.” shared Jitesh Mehta, Managing Director of Source India. This edition of Hannover Messe has over 100 exhibitors from India, participating directly or as part of EEPC.
With the China Plus One Policy adopted by many European and US manufacturers, Indian companies are increasingly optimistic about receiving significant enquiries during Hannover Messe 2023. Exhibitors are of the opinion that the timing is critical, and it is the perfect opportunity to showcase the capabilities and quality delivery that Indian companies are able to provide at Hannover Messe. With the “Make in India” campaign gaining momentum, Indian manufacturers are keen to tap into the global market and establish their presence in Europe, one of their key strategic markets.
