3G Regulation at Hannover; Deutsche Messe all geared up to Re-Launch Trade Fairs

The newly published Corona Ordinance of the State of Lower Saxony is the starting signal for physical events at the exhibition grounds in Hannover. With the “3G regulation” and a corresponding safety and hygiene concept, trade fairs and events in Lower Saxony are permitted, with immediate effect.

“The long-awaited start of trade fairs and events are now over”, shares Dr Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Deutsche Messe AG. In a recent update to the media, Dr Köckler informed that with the new Corona Regulation in Lower Saxony, the relaunch of all kinds of events, be it big or small trade fairs can now start again for Deutsche Messe, as well as for other organisers.

This was possible with the formation of 3G Regulations where individual safety and hygiene concepts are taken care of for the Lower Saxony Corona Regulation for trade fairs and events. 3G regulations will generally applicable AHA rules and a digital registration obligation for all the people and companies participating in the events.

Dr Köckler added that vaccinated, recovered and tested participants can be part of the trade fairs and events at the Hannover Exhibition Centre. “This is possible with the combination of the newer safety and hygiene concept, which will be further coordinated with the Hannover Region Health Office”, added Dr Jochen Köckler.

Deutsche Messe is looking at creating a long-term regulation for the events planned with the new Corona Ordinance for the upcoming events organised by their guest partners, which includes EUHA Congress, INTERGEO, BioNord and eroFame in September 2021. There are also events of Deutsche Messe to be organised – CMM in November 2021 and Pferd & Jagd in December 2021 informed Dr Köckler.

Deutsche Messe is also getting ready for the new exhibition year 2022 with DOMOTEX, AGRITECHNICA, HANNOVER MESSE and INTERSCHUTZ. “The risk of cancelling a planned trade fair or event on exhibition grounds at short notice is expected to be non-existent with the newly applicable framework conditions of Lower Saxony’s Corona Ordinance”, said Dr Jochen Köckler, a major concern and challenge for exhibition organisers and their participants facing after the pandemic.

All possible precautions are being taken to ensure the safe running of all fairs on the exhibition grounds in Hannover, informs Dr Jochen Köckler.
