Established in 1968, Sparkonix India Private Limited manufactures a wide range of EDMs such as ZNC EDMs, manual EDM drills, CNC EDM drills, metal arc dis-integrators and customized machine such as tire mould EDM. The company recently launched its CNC electric discharge machine
Devendra Lokhande, Marketing Manager, Sparkonix India Private Limited said, “Our major customers are the die and mould industry. Apart from that we are catering to cutting tool manufacturers, aerospace industry, medical equipment manufacturers, automobile component manufacturers, etc.
Sparkonix is the most reliable and consistent in the field of electric discharge machines. We have upgraded our EDMs from analog controllers to PC based ZNC controllers to now CNC controllers. Hence we have seen all the generations of technology for electric discharge machines”.
“Our company is planning on increasing our spectrum to complementary machines for EDMs such as metal cutting machines, grinding machines and some special purpose machines. We are having collaboration with Seibu who is the pioneer in CNC wire EDM in Japan. We are representing their CNC wire cut EDMs in India”, Mr Lokhande added.
The head office and manufacturing plant is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The company has dealers and service engineers spread across the country for local support. The company also exports to South-east Asia, Gulf Countries and African countries.
Sparkonix India Private Limited has about 22 standard models of electric discharge machines and has done over 5,500 installations till date. The approximate annual turnover of the company is around Rs 50 crore.
