Amid the rising demand for the hydrogen-based infrastructure, including hydrogen production and hydrogen dispensing stations, TOYOTA has come up with its fuel cell-based vehicle – Toyota Mirai at the 15th Engimach Exhibition
Anticipation of the primary sources, which are under the heavy pressure of being consumed at a large scale has made the automotive manufacturers look for the energy alternative.
Toyota’s Mirai is the exemplification of such an instance of employing clean and green automotive solutions.
Bidding goodbye to the standard fuel vehicle, Toyota presented its Hydrogen-powered based fuel cell vehicle which has water as a byproduct accompanied with zero emissions.
With the inauguration of the event by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the ‘hydro blue’ Toyota Mirai was displayed by officials highlighting the key features of the model.
Of greater importance is its driving range of 650 km once Mirai, with the two hydrogen tanks, is refueled which requires just five minutes
As per reports, the first generation hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, launched between 2015 and 2020, are going to be critical, demanding a consistent effort and unconventional collaboration between automakers, government regulators, and energy providers.
By wiping out the traditional corporate boundaries, we can boost the development of new technologies and move into the future of mobility more quickly, effectively, and economically, as stated in reports about advancements made to enable the commercialization of Toyota’s fuel cell vehicle.
Leveraging durable Automotive Solutions
Along with the high strength hoop configuration, the tank in the Mirai is equipped with a high-tech new design to remove the high angle helical winding in the boundary section by revising the liner structure in terms of flattening the boundary section’s rounded portion.
Achieving the reduction rate of 20 percent in the amount of carbon-reinforced plastic, the hydrogen storage capacity of 5.7 wt percent has been acquired in Mirai.
Mirai possesses the excellent quality of zero emissions, large cruising range, cold start and short refueling time, and better acceleration along with power supply function for emergency use.
Cost reduction is achieved by streamlining the system, oxygen reduction activity in the Mirai has also been enhanced by optimization through PtCo catalyst.
The advanced sensors are also accompanied to assure the safe discharge of the hydrogen back to the atmosphere.
As Toyota made an announcement previously about the royalty-free use of around 5,680 fuel cell-related patents until 2020, the critical technologies developed for the new Toyota Mirai are also included.
The EV market which is currently booming creates an upsurge in electricity production in the country.
Toyota’s Mirai, holding the world record of covering the largest distance by fuel cell vehicle, ignites the hydrogen fuel technology can be an alternative in such an energy crisis.
Presenting Electric power with fuel power, the company also presented its Hybrid Toyota Camry and electric vehicle Toyota EQ at the exhibition.
The exhibition is part of the events which come about at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January 2022.
Primarily focused on the expansion of the engineering industries across India, Engimach events are fascinated with the presence of around 450 manufactures including the global ones.
