ANCA, a pioneer in CNC grinding technology, is set to showcase their latest products, industry-specific grinding solutions, and automation systems at EMO 2023 (Stand F52, Hall 6). The highlight of the event will be the live announcement of the winner of the prestigious Tool of the Year competition, demonstrating the ultimate range of cutting tools.
Edmund Boland, General Manager of ANCA CNC Machines, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We are thrilled to bring several world premieres to EMO, offering enhanced value, increased productivity, and extended capabilities. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness ANCA’s latest technology advancements in tool precision, integrated manufacturing systems, industry-specific applications, and process optimization.”
Martin Winterstein, General Manager of ANCA Europe, highlighted the significance of EMO as the global manufacturing technology show, where market trends and innovations are showcased. ANCA’s setup in Hannover will provide hands-on demonstrations of tool manufacturers’ opportunities, featuring new application and automation solutions tailored to meet industry-specific needs. Winterstein emphasized the introduction of the FX ULTRA, designed to cater to the high demand for micro tools in a growing segment.
ANCA’s ULTRA technology stands out for its exceptional quality and precision. By leveraging their unique vertical integration, ANCA designs and manufactures all key components, including machines, controls, drives, and precision parts in-house. Introduced last year on the MX machine platform, the ULTRA technology delivers cutting tools with the highest accuracy and quality in the world. For instance, the MX7 ULTRA achieves an axis resolution of one nanometer and maintains better than +/- 0.002mm line form accuracy for various profiles, including ballnose and corner radius endmills.
At EMO, ANCA will unveil how the advantages of ULTRA technology are extended to various applications, including smaller batches, regrinding, and tools with small diameters. The FX7 ULTRA, a game-changing innovation, introduces revolutionary technologies such as ANCA’s nanometer control, transforming precision grinding for small and micro tools down to 0.1mm diameter. This breakthrough technology ensures unparalleled accuracy, surface finishes, and batch consistency, making it the ideal solution for industries relying on small tools.
ANCA will also present their ultimate single setup solution, the MX7 ULTRA, which combines peel grinding and tool grinding on one platform. Enhanced with additional power, the MX7 ULTRA boasts a remarkable spindle power of 26kW, allowing for the efficient machining of demanding tools such as larger taper ballnose endmills, step drills, and aerospace components. Short setup times, optional collet changes, and proven blanket grinding processes further enhance the machine’s capabilities.
ANCA’s AIMS system for automated tool production will also be featured at EMO. Visitors can witness the system operating unattended over extended periods, manufacturing tools. The modular AIMS automation package covers various stages of the tool production process, with ANCA set to include additional operations such as blank preparation and laser marking. The AutoMarkX, an automated laser marking station, offers reliable and high-quality marking, ensuring traceability and identification of tools.
ANCA’s expertise in grinding solutions extends to blank grinding and integrated complete machining of gear tools. The CPX blank preparation machine will showcase productivity-enhancing features, while the GCX offers a turnkey solution for manufacturing and resharpening gear cutting tools, incorporating Integrated Gear Tool Measurement (IGTM) for precise skiving cutter grinding.
The highly anticipated Tool of the Year 2023 competition will also be a focal point, recognizing the industry’s most innovative and exceptional tools. ANCA invites all industry professionals to explore their latest advancements, witness world premieres, and engage with experts at EMO 2023.
In addition, ANCA’s strategic partnerships with industry leaders, including Mitsubishi and GDS clamping technology, further demonstrate their commitment to excellence and streamlining processes across the manufacturing chain.
EMO 2023 provides an exclusive platform for industry professionals to discover ANCA’s cutting-edge solutions and grinding innovations that shape the future of manufacturing. Attendees are encouraged to visit ANCA’s stand in hall 6, F52, to experience firsthand the latest advancements and product launches.
