What you find in Indian airports and most of the foreign airports can definitely be improved. In India, the quality is poor due to bad design and manufacturing quality. In airports abroad, quality is ok but the designs are cumbersome and use a lot of material, making them expensive to manufacture.
I have come across a very fine design, elegant to look at, lightweight and using very little material. It is strong and able to carry many boxes. This can easily be fabricated in India by people who do pipe fabrication. The cost of manufacture will be low and the quality high. I have many photographs that will be sufficient to make detailed engineering drawings.
This is a good opportunity for existing fabricators of steel materials. A team of bright marketing people can join with a small scale fabricator and make this project a success. Buyers would be airports and railway stations in India and all over the world.
