The untimely pandemic proved to be disastrous for the manufacturers not just in India but across the globe. In India, after the lockdown during 2020 we witnessed the manufacturing community build back its manufacturing framework, adopt digital technologies and reflect on their entire business ecosystem. For us at ZOLLER in India, with a strong digital transformation, effective Hotline support ensured providing our customers solutions towards sustained relief from the production disruption.
COVID19 caused a threat to industrial work in no small measure as it brought in severe disruptions and complex issues to the manufacturing ecosystem in India. Ensuring their stand for precision, quality, reliability and sense of efficiency, industries have to look for the ‘Novel Manufacturing solutions’ for the ‘Novel Pandemic,’ which can facilitate the reconnection of the production flow in the disrupted production chain in manufacturing.
When 2020 became unpredictable, we witnessed the manufacturing community in India reinventing themselves, adopting new technologies to adapt to changes. Midst of the challenging second wave of the pandemic 2021 was very promising for the Indian manufacturing sector. Vaccination drives by the Government were timely supported by the industry, and slowly we started building the momentum. When the doors of 2022 are now ready to open, the new mutated variant Omicron is causing concern, but we believe it may not be as deadly as earlier.
Lockdowns: Unprecedented & Unexpected!
We never-ever expected that lockdown would arrive in such a manner. Bringing the production back to track after the pandemic was a challenge for us, as regaining the manufacturing pace again was surrounded by various breakdown calls. Even now, the new variant is bringing a delay in the delivery of the precision components in Indian manufacturing.
Lockdowns are never good for manufacturing as they always put a business into the ‘wait and watch’ situation, which manufacturing operations, in no way can bear. We are not supposed to experience such complex production disruption due to epidemic again. Amid the diverse speculations regarding the threat and effect of the new variant, it becomes crucial for us to strengthen the backbone for sustaining the manufacturing ecosystem.
Digital Transformation: Key Step to overcome Lockdown!
Being ready to deal with every situation, as learnt during downfalls and economic crises faced earlier, we overcame the pandemic through our rigorous and uninterrupted online support with the help of the whole ZOLLER team.
The past experiences with the crisis have already taught manufacturers ways to come up with adaptive planning and impact assessment along with sustainable customer support. What can else be more important than per day impressions of the experiences of the customers?
Throughout the lockdown, shifting from traditional to online customers support, we invested in Visions systems and cameras and also helped our customers to use the existing product with optimum efficiency. In addition to this, we also assisted them in keeping their machines running. Continued till now, this was our proactive solution to handle the pandemic’s hit by mitigating the production disruptions crisis caused by the lockdown.
Once the unlock happened last year, we at ZOLLER in India ensured the health and safety of our team members. We ensured our team members were vaccinated on time and supported our customers through digital as well as during 2021 visiting industries with ZOLLER on Tour at Kolhapur, Bengaluru, etc.
2022: Forecast of a better year for Manufacturing
We start 2022 with our participation at IMTEX 2022 exhibition at BIEC, Bengaluru from 20th to 26th of January 2022. In 2022, the manufacturing sector, anticipated to be about precision optimization and solidifying the production tolerance is likely to bring better results.

ZOLLER products, with their origin in Germany, are being pressurized by Indian manufacturing in terms of their delivery. This is due to their delivery delay as a result of Omicron-hit in Europe. The current conditions would eventually lead to a rise in demand for our product solutions, leading to a business hike. The business has been affected in the year 2020, but 2022 will probably be better in terms of manufacturing as calculated from the bounce back manufacturing in 2021. ZOLLER India wishes good health to the whole manufacturing industry and foresees the year 2022 as a better phase in manufacturing.
