Sanjib Chakraborty, Managing Director, HURCO India

Exclusively conversing with Machine Maker on HURCO’s participation in DMI 2022, Sanjib Chakraborty, Managing Director, HURCO India said, “After the pandemic, Industry witnessed a huge spike. To cope with the rising demand, customers need Multi-axis Machines. Taking this as our vision, we made 5-Axis our Priority, which is not common in the Indian Die & Mould Market. So, this year at DMI 2022, we are bringing our 5-Axis Machine to help our customers to maximize their profit margin. We also exhibit the bridge type high-speed machining centre from Takumi range which will satisfy the demand of Die Mould market by providing longer Y-axis stroke, spindle speed up to 24K, high precision contour accuracy and surface finish.”

“Suitable for High-Precision Die & Moulds, both the Hurco and Takumi machines are the best choice for Tool Room.  Our priority is to make our customers buy affordable and adaptable technical solutions. With our participation, we would set the new benchmark in the Indian Die and Mould Business,” he added.

Speaking on the significance of DMI in the Indian Tooling Industries, he further comments, “After a long four years, DMI 2022 has been brought by TAGMA. Mostly, the participants in the exhibitions are suppliers, but the DMI accommodates both the suppliers and users of Machine Tools. This helps suppliers to showcase their capabilities and technology, and also the users to witness the innovations and evaluate what process is most viable for them. This is a true B2B Exhibition and thanks to the whole team of TAGMA for bringing such a wonderful event for Indian Die and Mould Industries.”

Sanjib Chakraborty also talked about the new opportunities for the Indian Tooling segment in the coming years. He said that a Maximum percentage of critical tools have been imported into India. But now, the industry has been experiencing a clear shift in demand from China to India. The rate of import of Tools from Korea, China, and Taiwan is being significantly decreased and opening up fresh opportunities in India.

“Now, the Indian Tool Room players are investing in the latest technology like multi-axis machines and high-speed machines, which helps them to become globally competitive. Therefore, Die and Mould Segment in the Indian Tooling Industry is having very good scope in forthcoming years,” Mr Chakraborty concluded.
