Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (AIEMA), one of India's oldest industrial estates, are the organisers of the hightly acclaimed ACMEE International Machine Tool Exhibition. The 14th edition of ACMEE which was scheduled originally during 2020 was postponed due to pandemic and now opened for business visitors at Chennai Trade Centre, from December 9 to December 13, 2021.
"Chief Minister M K Stalin is focusing on 'Make in Tamil Nadu' and a trillion-dollar economy by 2024," TN Industries Minister Thangam Thennarasu said while inaugurating the AIEMA organized 14th edition of the ACMEE International Machine Tool Exhibition.
The exhibition is being organised with the goal of promoting the "Think Smart Manufacturing" concept with the help of the Indian Manufacturing ecosystem.
Chief Minister M K Stalin who was scheduled to inaugurate ACMEE 2021 could not make it as he had to rush to Nilgiris district to pay homage to CDS late Bipin Rawat and his late wife and the defence personnel who died in a tragic helicopter crash.
Among exhibits are special purpose machines, material handling systems, and other allied fields that are important in the industrial manufacturing sector.
The AIEMA, one of India's oldest and most well-maintained industrial estates, has taken the initiative to organize the 14th edition of the exhibition. AIEMA operates over 2,000 manufacturing units in the estate, offering a diverse range of products and services. Recently, the organization celebrated 56 years of illustrious service in the industry.
The event was supposed to take place in 2020, but it was pushed back due to the widespread threat of a covid pandemic. Mr Thennarasu, inaugurated the ACMEE exhibition on December 9, 2021, in the presence of T M Anbarasan, Minister of Rural Industries, Cottage Industries, and Small Industries.
Several major players in the industrial manufacturing and services sectors have set up booths to showcase the cutting-edge technology that they bring with them as well as the strengths of their products in their respective fields.
