CAE Simulation Training Private Limited (CSTPL), a joint venture between InterGlobe Enterprises and CAE, has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art pilot training centre in Mumbai, marking a significant step in enhancing India’s aviation training infrastructure. Spread across 44,000 square feet, the facility is CSTPL’s fourth training centre in India and has been designed to deliver high-fidelity, immersive pilot training aligned with global safety and proficiency standards. The centre begins operations with an Airbus A320 full-flight simulator, with a second simulator expected to be commissioned later this year. The facility has the capacity to scale up to six simulators in the future.

With existing centres in Greater Noida, Gurugram, and Bengaluru, CSTPL has established itself as the largest pilot training organization in India. Its network currently supports 16 full-flight simulators, with plans to expand to 23 in the coming years. The Mumbai centre will provide a full range of training services, including type rating, recurrent training, and proficiency checks across Airbus, ATR, and Boeing aircraft platforms.

The expansion comes at a time when India is witnessing rapid growth in its aviation sector. According to CAE’s Aviation Talent Forecast, the country is expected to require approximately 22,000 new pilots by 2034 to meet rising demand.

Maharashtra’s position as a key aviation hub further enhances the strategic importance of the Mumbai facility, which is well-placed to serve airlines operating from both Mumbai and Navi Mumbai airports. By strengthening domestic training capacity, the centre enables airlines to train pilots more efficiently while meeting regulatory requirements.

Alexandre Prévost, President, Civil Aviation at CAE, stated that the new centre strengthens the company’s ability to support one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets with advanced training capabilities. He added that the facility aligns with CAE’s global strategy of expanding capacity in high-growth regions.

Aditya Pande, Group CEO of InterGlobe Enterprises, highlighted that the centre represents a major milestone for India’s aviation ecosystem. He noted that the long-standing partnership with CAE continues to play a critical role in developing skilled aviation professionals and supporting industry growth.

CAE is a global leader in training, simulation, and critical operations solutions for aviation and defence. With a presence in over 40 countries and decades of experience, the company focuses on enhancing safety, performance, and mission readiness through advanced technology and training systems.
