Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that cumulative sales of the Innova HyCross have reached 200,000 units in India, marking a significant achievement since the model’s introduction in November 2022. The milestone reflects sustained customer demand and growing acceptance of hybrid technology in the country’s premium MPV segment.
The Innova HyCross has built on the longstanding reputation of the Innova nameplate, combining comfort, durability, and reliability with updated design and advanced technology. Developed on Toyota’s New Global Architecture platform, the model incorporates a fifth-generation self-charging hybrid system designed to deliver a balance of performance and efficiency.
The hybrid variant features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric drive system, producing a combined output of 137 kW. The system allows the vehicle to operate in electric mode for a significant portion of urban driving conditions, contributing to improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. In addition to the hybrid option, select variants are available with a petrol powertrain delivering 129 kW, offering customers flexibility based on usage requirements.
Positioned within the premium MPV category, the Innova HyCross includes a range of comfort and convenience features such as powered Ottoman second-row seating, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a powered tailgate. The vehicle also integrates connected technologies and advanced safety systems, including Toyota Safety Sense, which supports driver awareness and helps mitigate potential risks.
The model has achieved a five-star safety rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme, reinforcing its focus on occupant protection. Pricing begins at ₹19.53 lakh (ex-showroom), with hybrid variants supported by an extended battery warranty, enhancing long-term ownership value.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor attributes the milestone to customer confidence in the brand’s engineering standards and its approach to sustainable mobility. The company continues to pursue a multi-pathway strategy, offering a mix of technologies to meet evolving market expectations.
Supporting the ownership experience is Toyota’s integrated service ecosystem, which covers the full vehicle lifecycle from purchase to after-sales support. This framework is designed to provide convenience, reliability, and long-term value for customers. With this achievement, the Innova HyCross strengthens its position in India’s hybrid vehicle landscape, offering a practical solution for customers seeking efficiency, comfort, and modern mobility features.
