Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has reported its wholesale and retail sales for the fourth quarter and full year ending 31 March 2026, highlighting a strong sequential recovery in production alongside continued challenges across key global markets. Wholesale volumes for the fourth quarter reached 95,300 units, reflecting a decline of 14.5 percent compared to the same period last year. However, volumes rose significantly by 61.1 percent compared to the previous quarter, driven by a return to normal production levels following earlier operational disruptions caused by a cyber incident.

Retail sales for the quarter stood at 92,700 units, marking a year-on-year decline of 14.3 percent but a sequential increase of 16.2 percent. The recovery underscores improving operational stability and supply chain normalization.

Despite the quarterly rebound, full-year performance was impacted by several factors, including tariffs in the United States, softer demand in China, and the planned phase-out of legacy Jaguar models ahead of a new product launch. Production stoppages related to the cyber incident also weighed on annual volumes. For the full year, wholesale volumes totaled 307,900 units, down 23.2 percent from the previous year, while retail sales reached 352,300 units, representing a decline of 17.8 percent.

Regional performance in the fourth quarter showed mixed trends. Europe recorded modest growth, while other markets experienced declines, including the UK, North America, China, and overseas regions. China remained particularly challenging, reflecting broader market conditions.

The company’s product mix continued to strengthen, with Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender models accounting for over three-quarters of wholesale volumes during the quarter and the full year. This shift highlights sustained demand for premium and high-margin vehicles within JLR’s portfolio.

Looking ahead, JLR is expected to benefit from improved production stability and upcoming product launches. The company plans to announce its detailed financial results for the fourth quarter and full year in May 2026. As it moves forward, JLR remains focused on enhancing operational resilience, optimizing its product lineup, and navigating evolving global market dynamics.
