Belrise Industries Limited (BIL), a leading India-based automotive component manufacturer, has announced the acquisition of 100% share capital of Chester Hall Precision Engineering Holdings Limited, a United Kingdom-based precision engineering company serving global aerospace, space, and defence sectors. The transaction has been executed through Belrise UK Holdings Limited, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of BIL.
This acquisition marks Belrise’s strategic entry into the global aerospace and defence precision engineering supply chain. Chester Hall is widely recognized for its expertise in machining aerostructures, aero-engine components, and satellite parts, and maintains long-standing relationships with leading global aerospace OEMs. Its role as a single-source supplier across several programs underscores its technical capabilities and high entry barriers.
Chester Hall specializes in working with advanced aerospace materials such as titanium and high-grade aluminium, delivering high-precision components critical to mission-sensitive applications. The company also brings strong concurrent design and development expertise, enabling early-stage collaboration with customers in engineering complex components.
The transaction was completed at an EV/EBITDA multiple of 6x and is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings per share and return on capital employed. A deferred consideration component linked to calendar year 2026 performance has also been agreed. With annual revenues of approximately £18.5 million and an enterprise value of £13.2 million, the acquisition represents a significant milestone in Belrise’s diversification strategy.
The integration is expected to deliver immediate strategic benefits, including access to advanced aerospace manufacturing capabilities, strengthened engagement with global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, and the combination of Belrise’s large-scale manufacturing expertise with Chester Hall’s precision engineering strengths.
Commenting on the development, Sumedh Badve, Head of Strategy at Belrise Industries Limited, stated that the acquisition represents a pivotal step in expanding beyond automotive into high-growth aerospace and defence sectors. He highlighted the opportunity to build a global engineering platform and enhance India’s role in the international aerospace ecosystem.
