NETZSCH Pumps & Systems has inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art production facility in Goa, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy and reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the Indian market. The new plant, opened at the end of February, comes after more than 20 years of local manufacturing of the proven NEMO progressing cavity pumps in India. The expansion underlines NETZSCH’s focus on strengthening regional value chains while enhancing its global production footprint.

Built on a site spanning approximately 45,000 square metres, the facility will more than double the company’s previous production capacity in the country. The expanded infrastructure is designed to enable faster response to customer requirements while maintaining globally benchmarked quality and technology standards.

In addition to progressing cavity pumps, the Goa facility will manufacture a broader portfolio of pump technologies, including rotary lobe pumps, multi screw pumps and peristaltic pumps. This diversification of local production capabilities is expected to enhance flexibility and improve responsiveness to the evolving needs of customers across South Asia.

The facility integrates modern production systems, advanced quality processes and strengthened engineering and development resources. These capabilities position NETZSCH to efficiently address increasing demand in key industrial sectors that require reliable solutions for handling complex and challenging media.

Commenting on the inauguration, Andreas Denker, CEO of NETZSCH Pumps & Systems, described the expansion as a central pillar of the company’s global strategy. He noted that the Goa location strengthens the international production network and enables faster, region-specific responses to market requirements while ensuring consistent quality standards worldwide.

With more than 210 production, service and sales locations globally, NETZSCH continues to build a robust international network focused on proximity to customers and industrial manufacturing excellence. The new facility in Goa represents a strategic step in advancing this objective while reinforcing the principle of “in the region, for the region.”

Vivek Norman, Managing Director, NETZSCH Pumps & Systems India, stated that the expanded capacity, upgraded infrastructure and enhanced engineering resources will allow the company to serve customers in South Asia more efficiently and with greater market proximity. The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior company leaders and members of the NETZSCH family, highlighting the strategic importance of the investment.
