TATA.ev has partnered with Shell India to launch 21 new mega EV charging hubs across key Indian cities, strengthening the country’s public electric vehicle infrastructure.
The newly inaugurated TATA.ev x Shell charging hubs are operational in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara. Each location is equipped with 120 kW DC fast chargers aimed at reducing charging time and improving convenience for EV users.
The initiative is part of TATA.ev broader strategy to expand high-speed charging corridors in urban centres and along major highways. With this expansion, the company has crossed more than 130 mega charging hubs nationwide.
According to the company, Bengaluru has received the highest number of new installations, taking its total TATA.ev x Shell charging hubs to 13. Chennai, Pune and other cities have also seen multiple additions, while Mysuru and Vadodara hubs are positioned to support intercity travel and highway connectivity.
The charging hubs are designed to offer a premium experience, featuring on-site assistance and access to retail amenities at select Shell outlets. TATA.ev customers will also have access to special charging benefits at these locations.
TATA.ev stated that the collaboration aligns with its Open Collaboration 2.0 framework, under which it plans to support the installation of over 400,000 public charging points, including 500 mega charging hubs, by 2027.
The expansion comes amid rising EV adoption in India, with improved charging infrastructure considered critical to addressing range anxiety and enabling long-distance electric mobility.
