Epiroc, a global leader in productivity and sustainability solutions for mining and infrastructure, has entered into a partnership with Cal-Nevada Precision Blasting to supply surface drilling equipment and aftermarket services in the United States. As part of the collaboration, Cal-Nevada has deployed a fleet of Epiroc SmartROC D65 surface drill rigs, recognized for their automation capabilities and drilling accuracy.

Cal-Nevada Precision Blasting operates across Nevada and California and specializes in controlled blasting for mining, quarrying, trenching, mass excavation, and complex infrastructure projects, including highways, data centers, and residential developments. In addition to the drill rigs, Epiroc will provide ongoing support through spare parts, drilling tools, technical assistance, and operator training to ensure consistent performance and productivity.

Jonathan Torpy, President and General Manager of Epiroc USA, noted that demand for intelligent and efficient equipment continues to rise in the U.S. construction and infrastructure sectors. He added that Epiroc is pleased to support Cal-Nevada in delivering safe, precise, and efficient blasting solutions.

Don Emborsky, President of Cal-Nevada Precision Blasting, said the investment in advanced drilling technology reinforces the company’s commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, safety, and environmental responsibility.

The SmartROC D65 is designed to operate in challenging conditions, delivering consistent, high-quality blastholes. Equipped with automated drilling and rod-handling systems, the rig enhances precision, reduces downtime, and improves overall operational efficiency.
