The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) has officially opened its new regional office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, marking a significant milestone in advancing economic, trade, and cultural partnerships between Italy and India. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Antonio Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy to India and Nepal, and Tarun Pandey, Vice President of IICCI, alongside prominent members of Gujarat’s business community, industry leaders, and representatives from local government. The event underscored the growing importance of Gujarat as a major hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrial growth within India’s economic landscape.
In his address, Ambassador Antonio Bartoli highlighted the strategic value of Gujarat in fostering stronger bilateral ties. “Italy and India share a long-standing relationship rooted in creativity, technology, and enterprise. With the opening of IICCI’s office in Ahmedabad, we are strengthening our partnership and creating new pathways for business collaboration and innovation,” he said.
Echoing this sentiment, Mr Pandey remarked, “Gujarat holds tremendous potential for Italian businesses seeking to invest, manufacture, or collaborate in India. This office will serve as a vital link for deepening industrial, technological, and cultural cooperation between our two nations.”
The Ahmedabad office will play a key role in promoting business engagement through matchmaking initiatives, trade delegations, networking programs, and sector-focused collaborations. It will support industries such as engineering, manufacturing, renewable energy, food processing, fashion and design, and smart technologies.
