The TiTE × IHT 2025 Taiwan International Tools & Hardware Expo x International Hardware Expo Taiwan successfully concluded at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center (TICEC), marking a milestone for both Taiwan’s hardware industry and the newly opened venue. This year’s event was the largest and most internationally attended edition to date, underscoring Taiwan’s manufacturing strength and resilience amid global uncertainty while ushering in a new era for central Taiwan’s international exhibitions.

Centered around the theme “Team Taiwan — Collaborating to Build New Resilience in Taiwan Manufacturing,” the 2025 expo brought together 400 companies from 15 countries, occupying over 800 booths across eight major categories: hand tools, metal processing, automotive repair, fasteners, smart manufacturing, and green sustainability. The show highlighted the comprehensive capability and innovation of Taiwan’s manufacturing ecosystem.

International participants included leading buyers and brand representatives from Japan, South Korea, Germany, the United States, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, among others. In total, more than 500 global buyers from 70 countries attended, making it one of the most internationally diverse gatherings in the event’s history.

Over 22,000 visitors attended the three-day event, which featured more than 100 business matchmaking sessions connecting local suppliers with international procurement networks. Despite the challenges of global tariffs and exchange rate shifts, Taiwan’s manufacturing sector demonstrated its competitive edge through strong institutional frameworks, branding power, and technological innovation—embodying the collective strength of “Team Taiwan” and paving the way for a new era of collaborative manufacturing.

President Lai Ching-te, in his opening remarks, commended Taiwan’s hardware and hand tool industries for their reputation of quality, dependability, and resilience, emphasizing their role as a cornerstone of Taiwan’s export economy. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the industry through digital transformation, sustainability initiatives, and global market expansion, ensuring Taiwan remains integral to worldwide supply chains.

Taichung Mayor Lu Hsiu-yen highlighted that central Taiwan boasts the nation’s most complete hardware and metalworking clusters. She noted that hosting the expo at TICEC not only strengthens Taichung’s exhibition capabilities but also connects upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, solidifying the city’s position as an international sourcing hub.

Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association (THMA) Chairman Hsieh Wu-chih remarked that TiTE × IHT 2025 represents more than an exhibition—it is a platform for industrial transformation, fostering synergy among government, associations, and manufacturers to enhance Taiwan’s visibility and influence on the global stage. Lanza International Co, Ltd General Manager Liu Tzu-feng added that Taiwan’s true manufacturing value lies in trust, partnership, and co-creation, emphasizing that the deepened supply chain integration observed at the event is key to Taiwan’s continued global leadership.

Running alongside the expo, the Global Hardware Innovation Summit featured expert panels on smart manufacturing, net-zero sustainability, and supply chain restructuring. Speakers from academia, government, and industry shared strategies for strengthening Taiwan’s position in the next wave of industrial transformation. Hasegawa Naoya, President of Japan’s Tsubame-Sanjo Regional Industries Promotion Center, discussed how regional revitalization and youth training are revitalizing Japan’s manufacturing base through cross-sector collaboration.

Dr Hsieh Tsung-hsun, Executive Director of the Yusheng Environmental Control Research Center at National Cheng Kung University, emphasized that carbon accounting and green supply chains have become essential to global competitiveness. He urged manufacturers to pursue collaborative innovation and sustainable transformation to maintain leadership in the evolving market.

Panels on “Smart Lean and Digital Inheritance” explored how AI, automation, and knowledge management are reshaping traditional industries, helping them build long-term digital resilience and sustainable growth. With its robust supply chain ecosystem, flexibility, and technical excellence, Taiwan is steadily transitioning from manufacturing to co-creation, strengthening its role as a trusted global partner in high-value manufacturing.

The next TiTE × IHT exhibition is scheduled for October 20–22, 2026, returning to TICEC under the theme “From Manufacturing to Co-Creation.” The upcoming event will emphasize joint R&D, collaborative design, and integrated supply chains, extending the spirit of “Team Taiwan” to accelerate industrial transformation.

The 2026 edition will introduce AI-powered buyer matching and cross-border procurement systems, shifting the exhibition focus from simple product displays to co-created, solution-based partnerships. Maintaining its positioning as “Taiwan’s Largest, Asia’s Premier,” TiTE × IHT aims to be the region’s most trusted platform for showcasing Taiwan’s industrial excellence and fostering international collaboration.
