BEML Limited, a leading multi-technology company under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has entered into a strategic partnership with Kineco Limited, a premier Indian composite technology company, to collaborate in the field of advanced composite manufacturing for Defence and Aerospace applications. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally exchanged at the 16th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE) at the BEML Pavilion, in the presence of Shantanu Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, BEML Limited, and Shekhar Sardessai, Founder & CMD, Kineco Limited – World of Composites, along with senior officials from both organisations.
This strategic alliance represents a major milestone in the journey toward strengthening India’s indigenous capabilities and achieving greater self-reliance in advanced material technologies. It underscores a shared vision between BEML Limited and Kineco Limited to fortify the nation’s defence manufacturing ecosystem and build a robust foundation for next-generation aerospace and defence solutions.
The collaboration will centre on the co-development and manufacturing of advanced composite structures and components, which are integral to modern defence and aerospace platforms. Through this partnership, the two companies aim to leverage their respective strengths and expertise to deliver innovative and high-performance composite solutions tailored for demanding operational environments.
Under this alliance, BEML and Kineco will jointly focus on developing Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) structures, Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) panels and components, and honeycomb cores, foams, and bonding consumables for metallic detail parts. These advanced materials are critical for achieving lightweight, durable, and efficient designs that enhance both performance and safety across multiple defence and aerospace applications.
