Nexteer Automotive will present its cutting-edge Motion-by-Wire™ technologies, including Steer-by-Wire, Rear-Wheel Steering, Brake-by-Wire, and the MotionIQ™ Software Suite at MOVE America, held September 24-25 at Huntington Place in Detroit. At booth #529, Nexteer’s experts will highlight how the company is driving the future of software-defined chassis for both passenger and commercial vehicles. These innovations aim to help OEMs streamline development processes, lower costs, and create safer, smarter, and more thrilling driving experiences.

Attendees will be able to participate in an interactive Steer-by-Wire driving simulation, offering a first-hand experience of how this advanced technology transforms vehicle control and responsiveness. This engaging activity allows visitors to better understand the benefits of wire-based steering systems in real-world scenarios.

The showcase will feature Motion-by-Wire™ systems, including Steer-by-Wire, Rear-Wheel Steering, Brake-by-Wire, and supporting software solutions. These technologies work together to deliver precise, reliable motion control, improving both safety and driving dynamics.

Visitors will also get an inside look at the newly launched MotionIQ™ Software Suite. This platform integrates three core product groups to enable highly accurate motion control, streamline chassis development, and provide advanced predictive maintenance capabilities for improved efficiency and reduced downtime.

In addition, the event will highlight Nexteer’s latest motion control innovations, covering Electric Power Steering (EPS), steering columns, intermediate shafts, and driveline solutions—showcasing the company’s commitment to advancing vehicle performance and driver experience. Nexteer’s team will also be on hand to discuss how these technologies address key technical and business challenges in the passenger vehicle sector, as well as in adjacent industries such as commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles, and other mobility sectors.

Nexteer’s Executive Product Line Director for Software Products, Peter Schmitt, will participate in a panel discussion on “Advances in Software-defined Vehicles” on Wednesday, September 24 at 1:20 p.m. in the Tech, Data & Innovation Theater #2. He will be joined by experts from Stellantis, COVESA, and Mercedes Pay.

“The future of software-defined vehicles will be built on collaboration and co-creation,” said Schmitt. “Nexteer brings unmatched expertise in safety-critical motion control, with integrated hardware and software solutions that benefit OEMs and millions of drivers globally. We are excited to engage with industry leaders at MOVE America and work together to shape the next generation of motion control.”
