Hind Rectifiers Limited (Hirect), a leading Indian manufacturer of power electronics and railway systems, has announced a major international expansion with the acquisition of BeLink Solutions, a French company specialising in robotics, electronics R&D, and electronic manufacturing services (EMS). The move marks a strategic push by Hirect to strengthen its global footprint and accelerate growth in high-technology segments.

The acquisition creates a critical operational hub for Hirect in Europe, unlocking advanced manufacturing capabilities and direct access to the region’s customer base. Hirect, through a newly proposed subsidiary, has completed the acquisition of the business and operating assets of BeLink Solutions for a total consideration of EUR 1 million. The transaction has been entirely funded through internal accruals, reflecting the company’s strong financial position and ability to expand without external borrowing. This move strengthens Hirect’s global presence while securing valuable operational capabilities.

As part of the transaction, Hirect will infuse EUR 2 million into the subsidiary to support future operations and growth. Of this, EUR 1 million will be invested in preference shares, while the remaining EUR 1 million will be allotted as equity shares. The equity split ensures that Hirect will retain a 66% controlling stake, with promoter group companies holding the remaining 34%. This capital structure provides both stability and flexibility for long-term expansion.

The acquisition covers a wide range of critical assets, including plant and machinery, advanced production lines, testing facilities, intellectual property, and key commercial agreements. Ongoing customer contracts and existing purchase orders are also part of the transfer, ensuring business continuity and immediate revenue contributions from BeLink’s operations.

Strategically, the deal enables Hirect to establish a permanent manufacturing footprint in Europe, allowing for local production and faster service delivery to regional customers. This localised presence reduces logistical complexities and strengthens the company’s competitiveness in a growing market for high-quality, reliable solutions.
