KP Group’s Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business continues to deliver strong results while expanding its renewable energy portfolio. With proven expertise in solar, wind, and hybrid energy, the Group has established itself as a trusted partner in ensuring high-performance asset management across India.

The company currently operates over 1.9 GW of installed renewable energy capacity, spanning solar, wind, and hybrid projects. This diverse asset base reflects KP Group’s commitment to building a resilient energy mix and supporting India’s renewable energy goals.

In addition to its existing portfolio, KP Group is developing nearly 4 GW of new renewable projects. Once integrated, these projects will significantly enhance the Group’s leadership in O&M services and further cement its position in the renewable energy ecosystem.

To support this growth, KP Group has developed a state-of-the-art in-house O&M platform. This system is designed to maximize asset performance, ensure reliability, and deliver steady long-term revenue. Proactive maintenance strategies and advanced monitoring tools allow the Group to create lasting value for its stakeholders.

At the core of KP Group’s digital operations is its in-house Network Operations Center, powered by IBM Maximo Renewables. This centralized hub enables real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and control of solar and wind assets. Serving over 200 clients with complete O&M compliance, the NOC leverages AI-driven analytics, predictive maintenance tools, automated reporting, and a Unified Data Access (UDA) platform to deliver faster, data-led operational responses.

A major achievement of the Group’s R&D center is the development of robotic cleaning systems for solar panels. Designed and manufactured entirely in-house, the robots are patent-pending and already deployed at scale, with over 730 units in operation and 1,000 more in production. Certified by leading global tracker companies, these IoT-enabled robots deliver up to 98% cleaning efficiency, completing 1 MW of dry-cleaning in under three hours while conserving water and boosting plant output.

To meet rising domestic and international demand, KP Group has commissioned a new manufacturing facility in Por, ramping up capacity from 100 to 300 robots per month. This expansion reflects the Group’s focus on innovation-driven growth and its mission to combine technology with sustainability in renewable O&M.

With a solid O&M portfolio, advanced technological adoption, and a focus on continuous R&D, KP Group is well-positioned to further strengthen its leadership in India’s renewable energy market. The company is dedicated to enhancing generation, minimizing operational costs, and delivering long-term sustainable value to its stakeholders.

Founded in 1994 by Dr Faruk G Patel, KP Group has evolved into a diversified conglomerate with core competencies in renewable energy, infrastructure, and innovation. Over the past three decades, the group has played a pivotal role in advancing sustainability, particularly through transformative wind and solar energy projects, contributing to India’s green energy goals. Known for its strong renewable energy portfolio, KP Group has built a reputation as a trusted partner for companies looking to reduce their carbon footprint. The group remains committed to India’s energy transition and is focused on setting new standards in the renewable energy industry.
