CRI Solar, the renewable energy division of CRI Pumps, has received an order worth ₹320 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 10,714 off-grid solar water pumping systems. The project falls under the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” scheme, part of the national PM-KUSUM initiative.

The scope includes the design, delivery, installation, and commissioning of DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems in 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities. Each unit will be equipped with a remote monitoring system and a five-year warranty covering service and maintenance.

This project aims to improve water access in rural and off-grid areas, reduce reliance on conventional power sources, and support consistent irrigation for farming. It is expected to enhance productivity in agriculture and promote rural development. Implementation will follow MSEDCL’s schedule, with CRI Solar responsible for managing timely and efficient delivery using its experience in large-scale solar installations.

G. Soundararajan, Chairman of CRI, stated “This empanelment is not just a commercial milestone—it supports the broader goal of providing clean and dependable irrigation solutions to farmers. We look forward to working with the state to expand access to renewable water infrastructure.”

CRI has previously deployed over 1.81 lakh solar pumping systems across India. These installations have contributed to saving over 6,100 million kWh of electricity and avoiding around 4.8 million tonnes of carbon emissions.

With a focus on high-efficiency pumps, digital monitoring, and robust after-sales service, CRI Solar continues to support government programs aimed at promoting clean energy and sustainable water access for agriculture and rural livelihoods.
