Greenzo Energy Limited, India’s first integrated green hydrogen enterprise, has secured a Research & Development order from Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The project, awarded after a rigorous technical evaluation, underscores confidence in Greenzo’s capabilities in hydrogen technology.

The order, formalized through a Letter of Intent and purchase order on the Government e-Marketplace platform, covers supply, site works, and essential spares for a hydrogen electrolyser modular unit. The system will be installed at EIL’s R&D Complex in Gurgaon, Haryana, strengthening India’s push for homegrown clean energy solutions.

Commenting on the development, Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Greenzo Energy, said the order reinforces the company’s leadership role in hydrogen innovation and aligns with India’s vision of building self-reliant, globally competitive technology. He emphasized that the project represents both a technological milestone and a step toward reducing dependence on imports while advancing India’s sustainability goals.

This project is aligned with the National Green Hydrogen Mission, which aims to position India as a global hub for hydrogen production and exports. By awarding the order to Greenzo, EIL has highlighted its trust in domestic R&D capabilities to deliver scalable solutions that can serve energy-intensive sectors such as refining, fertilizers, steel, and cement.

The partnership marks a significant step in Greenzo’s journey of building a complete hydrogen value chain, from research and manufacturing to deployment. It reinforces the company’s role as a strategic partner to PSUs, government agencies, and private players in shaping India’s future energy landscape.

Greenzo Energy Limited is India’s first fully integrated green hydrogen and renewable energy company, dedicated to developing electrolyser technologies, hydrogen-based projects, and renewable integration solutions. The company is focused on advancing industrial decarbonization and accelerating India’s clean energy transition.
