Big Bang Boom Solutions Pvt Ltd (BBBS), a Chennai-based DeepTech firm, has received approval for a $5 million joint project with Israel’s Foresight Autonomous Holdings Ltd under the India-Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund (I4F). The 24-month programme, starting September 2025, will develop and commercialize autonomous drones engineered for GPS-denied and high-risk industrial environments.

The drones will combine BBBS’s UAV platform expertise with Foresight’s 3D perception and multi-spectral vision technologies, enabling operations in spaces such as tunnels, chemical plants, and power facilities where conventional GPS-based drones fail. Features will include AI navigation, sensor fusion, and ruggedized hardware to withstand extreme heat, dust, interference, and corrosive conditions. Target industries include oil and gas, mining, energy, transport, and chemicals.

BBBS projects revenue potential of over $32 million by 2031, tapping into a drone inspection and monitoring market expected to reach $21.3 billion globally by 2027. The collaboration builds on an MoU signed in April 2025 and strengthens cross-border DeepTech cooperation between India and Israel.

Foresight’s automotive-proven vision systems will be adapted for industrial inspection, while BBBS continues to expand its portfolio of indigenous defence, aerospace, and dual-use technologies for demanding operational environments. Big Bang Boom Solutions Private Ltd (BBBS) is a Chennai-based deep-tech startup, founded in 2018 by Dr Shivaraman Ramaswamy (CTO) and Praveen Dwarakanath (CEO), that specializes in cutting-edge, indigenous defense technologies. The company is actively developing a spectrum of advanced systems—from anti-drone defense systems and see-through combat armor to AI-enabled unmanned tanks and hybrid combat gear—anchored in domains like artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, materials science, nanotech, and UAV technology.

BBBS has earned notable recognition through multiple iDEX challenge victories, SKOCH awards, and other innovation accolades for projects such as see-through armor and anti-drone systems. In a landmark achievement, it secured one of the largest IDEX-supported contracts—over ₹200 crore—from the Indian Army and Air Force for its ‘Vajra Sentinel’ anti-drone platform, a system that leverages passive RF sensors, AESA radar, AI-driven classification, and autonomous jamming/spoofing capabilities.

With global ambitions underway, BBBS is in advanced discussions to export its anti-drone and see-through armor solutions to several African nations, and is exploring partnerships in the UK and beyond. Supported by strong investor interest, it also raised over ₹250 crore in its latest funding round—backed by Mumbai Angels, SBI Startup Branch Chennai, Vyom Family Office, and others—fueling its next phase of growth and scaling.
