KSH Distriparks, a key player in inland logistics services, has partnered with global shipping company Evergreen Line to improve container availability for exporters and importers in the Pune region. As part of this partnership, 40-foot High Cube containers are now accessible at the ICD (Inland Container Depot) in Talegaon, effective immediately.

This development simplifies export and import processes by offering local access to containers, reducing the need to transport empty units from ports like Nhava Sheva to Pune. Exporters can now directly pick up containers for outbound shipments or return them after imports, cutting down on time, fuel use, and overall costs.

The collaboration brings together KSH’s expertise in domestic logistics and Evergreen’s international shipping capabilities. Around 45 to 50 High Cube containers will be kept ready at ICD Talegaon, with an initial throughput goal of 200 containers each month. Future plans include adding standard 40-foot and 20-foot dry containers to the available pool.

“This initiative addresses a long-standing gap in regional logistics,” said Malcolm Dsouza, CEO of KSH Distriparks. “Pune continues to grow as a manufacturing and export hub, and reliable access to equipment is essential. By bringing Evergreen’s network closer to local exporters, we’re helping create a more connected and efficient supply chain while supporting national goals around sustainability and multimodal transport.”

Ken Chen, Junior Vice President – Business Development at Evergreen Line, added, “With Talegaon, Chakan, and Ranjangaon forming a vital industrial cluster, it’s important to ensure faster container access. This setup reduces unnecessary repositioning of empties, which can account for up to 20% of total container traffic. It also helps cut down logistics expenses and emissions while offering a better export experience to our clients.”

Beyond immediate operational benefits, the collaboration supports India’s broader infrastructure goals. By easing pressure on congested ports like Nhava Sheva and strengthening inland hubs such as Talegaon, this step encourages a shift toward integrated logistics. The move also complements initiatives like PM Gati Shakti by promoting multimodal connectivity and efficient cargo movement.

KSH Distriparks continues to build partnerships with leading global carriers, expanding services that meet the growing demands of India’s trade and manufacturing sectors. The addition of Evergreen Line further strengthens its ability to provide complete logistics solutions from origin to destination.
