Tata Electronics and Bosch Forge Strategic Partnership in Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturing

Tata Electronics, a rising force in India’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturing landscape, has entered into a strategic collaboration with global technology leader Robert Bosch GmbH. The two companies recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together across various areas in semiconductor technology and electronics production. The agreement was formalized by Dr Randhir Thakur, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Electronics, and Dirk Kress, Executive Vice President of Semiconductor Operations at Bosch.

The partnership will focus on advancing chip packaging and semiconductor manufacturing at Tata Electronics’ upcoming assembly and test facility in Assam and its foundry project in Gujarat. Additionally, both companies plan to explore joint initiatives in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), particularly in vehicle electronics, with the aim of developing solutions that benefit both organizations and contribute to the growing automotive electronics segment in India.

Dr Randhir Thakur noted, “This partnership with Bosch strengthens our goal of building a strong, reliable supply chain for critical technology components. Our joint efforts will support the development of a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem in India and help position the country as a global hub for electronics manufacturing.”

Dirk Kress of Bosch added, “The demand for next-generation automotive electronics is accelerating rapidly. Our collaboration with Tata Electronics reflects Bosch’s long-term commitment to strengthening supply chain resilience and highlights the strategic value of India’s growing mobility sector. Together, we aim to meet future demands with innovation and local capability.”
