Billion Electric Mobility (BillionE), a platform offering electric vehicle solutions for commercial logistics, has secured more than 250 long-term fleet agreements for the deployment of electric trucks with corporate clients across India. These agreements involve medium and heavy-duty electric trucks, ranging from 12 to 55 tonnes in gross vehicle weight.
The truck deployments cover a wide array of industries including e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, cement, copper, steel, fast-moving consumer goods, automotive, and supply chain logistics. The rollout is already underway in 16 cities across North, West, and South India — including major hubs such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.
This achievement comes alongside the government’s recent launch of the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) program, initiated by the Ministry of Heavy Industries. The scheme allocates ₹500 crore in subsidies for around 5,500 electric trucks, offering financial support of up to ₹9.6 lakh per vehicle depending on battery size. This is the first dedicated national incentive aimed specifically at electric freight vehicles.
BillionE currently has over 60 heavy-duty electric trucks in operation, with plans to scale that number to 250 by early 2026 and reach a total of 5,000 by 2029. Its service agreements include a full suite of offerings such as electric trucks, charging infrastructure, optimized route planning, and ongoing maintenance support.
The company utilizes its affiliated charging infrastructure partner, CHARGE ZONE, to power operations. This network has established high-capacity EV charging stations along major freight corridors, including routes between Mumbai and Delhi, Delhi and Bengaluru, and Coimbatore to Visakhapatnam. Earlier this year, BillionE raised $10 million through seed funding and debt, and is now working on a $15 million Pre-Series A round. A larger Series A round of $100 million is planned by the end of 2025.
India’s electric truck market is gaining momentum as freight emissions rise, making decarbonization a priority. The PM E-DRIVE scheme is designed to close policy gaps and lower operating costs for electric commercial vehicles, especially in heavily polluted transportation zones. Billion Electric Mobility was co-founded by Kartikey Hariyani, who also leads CHARGE ZONE. The company is focused on building a tech-enabled ecosystem to drive India’s shift to clean commercial transport.
