In a move aimed at transforming India’s logistics sector, Montra Electric —part of the Murugappa Group—has announced a new collaboration with Green Drive Mobility. Together, they plan to deploy 50 EVIATOR 350 L electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCVs) nationwide over the next three months.
The alliance is focused on promoting zero-emission logistics by providing clean transport solutions for first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile delivery operations. This partnership supports Green Drive’s expansion into various sectors by integrating Montra’s next-gen electric vehicles into its operations.
The agreement was formalized by Saju Nair, CEO of TIVOLT Electric Pvt Ltd (Montra’s SCV division), and Hari Krishna, Founder and CEO of Green Drive Mobility. Montra’s EVIATOR vehicles are known for their strong performance, advanced telematics, and smart software systems.
Designed with energy efficiency and heavy-duty transport in mind, these vehicles are well-suited to Green Drive’s goal of achieving fully electric logistics. The rollout of the initial fleet will take place in stages, enhancing Green Drive’s tech-enabled logistics framework, which includes features like real-time vehicle tracking, intelligent route optimization, and analytics driven by artificial intelligence.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr Nair said, “We are excited to collaborate with Green Drive Mobility in pushing the boundaries of clean transport solutions in India. The EVIATOR combines innovative electric drivetrain technology with robust range and payload capabilities, making it ideal for today’s logistics demands. This initiative reflects our mutual commitment to reducing carbon emissions and supporting the country’s sustainability goals.”
Mr Krishna added, “Our goal at Green Drive Mobility is to provide eco-conscious companies with effective and reliable last-mile delivery options. Montra’s EVIATOR ticks all the right boxes—range, strength, driver comfort, and smart technology. Its real-time insights and minimal downtime will help us boost fleet efficiency and maintain consistent service. We’re pleased to work with Montra Electric, a partner aligned with our values around sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.”
As India continues to move toward greener transportation systems, this partnership signals a major leap toward sustainable and efficient commercial mobility, setting a new standard in the electric vehicle logistics sector. Montra Electric is involved in various segments of electric mobility, including heavy commercial vehicles, small commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, and tractors.
