Hero MotoCorp is set to enter four key European countries—Germany, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom—in the second quarter of fiscal year 2025–26, as part of its aggressive international expansion strategy. This development was confirmed by Chairman Pawan Munjal in the company’s annual report for FY 2024–25.

Outlining the company’s vision under the theme “Investing in the Future – India and Beyond”, Mr Munjal emphasized that Hero MotoCorp is actively nurturing innovation through initiatives like Hero for Startups, which provides entrepreneurs with access to R&D, mentorship, and market entry support. Highlighting achievements from the past year, Mr Munjal said, “In FY 2024–25, we further solidified our leadership in electric mobility. Our global expansion roadmap includes a strategic foray into Europe’s top automotive markets in Q2 of FY 2025–26, taking our commitment to ‘mobility without boundaries’ to new regions.”

He noted that international markets saw strong momentum, with a 43% year-on-year increase in overseas sales, driven by a focus on quality, scale, and customer experience across South Asia and Latin America. Hero’s push into Europe represents a major milestone. “Our entry into the European Union and the UK signals the next chapter in our global journey, built on innovation and engineering strength,” Mr Munjal said.

In electric mobility, Hero’s EV brand VIDA posted a 200% growth in sales, powered by a wider retail footprint in leading Indian cities. The company’s flagship model, the VIDA V2, has been credited with making electric commuting more accessible for urban consumers.

Mr Munjal also highlighted Hero’s growing influence in the EV ecosystem. He pointed to the company’s alliance with Ather Energy, which has bolstered India’s largest EV charging infrastructure and strengthened leadership in the premium electric segment.

Additionally, Hero’s collaboration with California-based Zero Motorcycles is expected to result in the launch of a new high-end electric motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp has also invested ₹510 crore in Euler Motors, reinforcing its role in the expanding electric three-wheeler market.

“Each of these steps reflects our firm belief that the future of mobility in India will be electric, inclusive, and innovation-driven. We are proud to be shaping that future,” Mr Munjal stated. Executive Director and Acting CEO Vikram S Kasbekar added, “We expect FY 2025–26 to be a year of acceleration. From strengthening our presence in electric mobility and the premium segment to expanding internationally, our focus remains on sustainable growth, value creation, and operational excellence.”

He concluded by reiterating the company’s goal to outpace the industry, scale up across product segments, and deepen its presence in global markets—while maintaining a strong customer-first approach.

Hero MotoCorp is one of the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturers and a longstanding leader in India’s motorcycle and scooter market. Headquartered in New Delhi, the company has maintained its dominance in the industry for over two decades, supported by a vast distribution network, consistent product innovation, and strong brand equity.

With a diversified portfolio ranging from entry-level commuter bikes to premium models, Hero MotoCorp serves a broad consumer base across urban and rural markets. In recent years, the company has expanded its focus to include electric mobility and sustainable transportation solutions, aligning with global trends and domestic policy goals.
