SEMI, in collaboration with the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), has announced the opening of visitor registrations for SEMICON India 2025, scheduled to take place from September 2 to 4, 2025, at Yashobhoomi – India International Convention and Expo Centre, New Delhi. Held under the theme “Building the Next Semiconductor Powerhouse,” the event will highlight India’s growing capabilities and aspirations across the microelectronics and semiconductor sectors.

Organised under the guidance of the India Semiconductor Mission, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, SEMICON India 2025 builds upon the strong momentum of the 2024 edition. It is set to serve as a high-impact platform that brings together global and domestic leaders from industry, government, academia, and investment circles.

SEMICON India is part of a series of eight international SEMICON expositions held annually by SEMI, which convene experts and decision-makers from the global semiconductor design and manufacturing ecosystem. The anticipated scale of the 2025 event underlines India’s emergence as a critical location in the global semiconductor supply chain.

SEMICON India 2025 will bring together over 300 exhibitors representing 18 countries and regions, offering a comprehensive display of the global electronics value chain. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore innovations ranging from raw materials and semiconductor manufacturing equipment to advanced chip design and integrated system solutions. This broad representation underscores the event’s role as a vital showcase for cutting-edge developments in the microelectronics and semiconductor sectors.

The event will feature a three-day conference, drawing participation from top industry leaders, senior executives, and technical specialists from around the world. These sessions will provide deep insights into the latest trends, challenges, and strategic directions shaping the future of semiconductor technology. With its diverse lineup of speakers and thought leaders, the conference promises to serve as a key knowledge-sharing and networking platform for attendees.

Adding to its international scope, four dedicated country pavilions will highlight global collaboration opportunities, while nine Indian State Governments will also participate, reflecting the growing national commitment to the semiconductor sector. These pavilions will showcase regional strengths, investment potential, and policy support aimed at fostering domestic and international partnerships in the electronics and semiconductor industries.

SEMICON India 2025 will also feature a range of specialised zones and engagement platforms, including a Workforce Development Pavilion and Startup Pavilion, designed to support talent development and innovation. Other highlights include seven Country Roundtables, B2B forums, and structured programs for training and upskilling, all intended to enhance industry capabilities and connect stakeholders across the ecosystem.

Ajit Manocha, President and CEO of SEMI, commented, “SEMI has a long-standing history of supporting the growth of semiconductor ecosystems in new regions through our global expositions and development programs. As companies seek to diversify supply chains, build engineering talent, and expand into high-growth markets, India presents a compelling opportunity.”

S Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, added, “We encourage leaders from industry, academia, policymaking, and research to participate in SEMICON India 2025 and contribute to India’s transformation in the semiconductor domain.” Ashok Chandak, President of SEMI India and IESA, said, “India stands at a defining point in its semiconductor growth journey. SEMICON India 2025 will harness the current global shifts to strengthen India’s presence in the global value chain.”

SEMICON India 2025 aims to foster meaningful collaboration among global semiconductor stakeholders and reinforce India’s position as a reliable and scalable destination for electronics manufacturing. Jointly hosted by SEMI and ISM under the Government of India, the event reflects the country’s integrated, nationwide commitment to establishing a robust and world-class semiconductor ecosystem.
