JSW Energy has commissioned 261 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy, further strengthening its clean energy portfolio. The newly added capacity includes 189 MW from solar and 72 MW from wind sources. With this addition, the company’s total installed capacity has reached 12,760 MW, and its overall renewable share has climbed to 56%. This includes 3,554 MW of wind, 2,157 MW of solar, and 1,391 MW from hydro power. The timely commissioning is expected to enhance generation during the high-output renewable season.

The recent commissioning contributes to a total of 1.9 gigawatts (GW) added in the April–June quarter, combining both new developments and acquisitions. JSW Energy’s total secured power generation capacity now stands at 29.9 GW—this includes 12.8 GW in operation, 12.5 GW under development across various technologies, and a 4.6 GW pipeline.

In addition to generation, the company has secured 29.3 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage capacity, split between 26.4 GWh of pumped hydro storage and 2.9 GWh of battery storage systems. JSW Energy aims to scale its power generation capacity to 30 GW and energy storage to 40 GWh by the end of FY2030. The company has also committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050, aligning its growth plans with long-term sustainability goals.
