Datta Power Infra has successfully commissioned two ground-mounted solar power plants, each with a capacity of 2.52 MW (AC), totaling 5.04 MW (AC), in Bhagwa village, located in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. These installations were developed under the Government of India’s PM-KUSUM (Pradhan MantriKisanUrja Suraksha EvamUtthanMahabhiyan) scheme, specifically under Component C, which focuses on solar energy for agricultural use.
The company has an additional 43 MW of solar capacity under development through the same program, expected to go live in the coming months. With a rapidly growing project pipeline, Datta Power Infra now boasts an order book worth ₹2,800 crore, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 50%, and signaling robust momentum in its long-term expansion plans.
To support its expanding operations, the company has launched a dedicated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) arm, Power Sprout Solutions (PSS). This new entity, staffed by over 200 professionals, is set to manage an active pipeline of 600 MW across solar, wind, hybrid, and round-the-clock (RTC) solutions tailored for commercial & industrial (C&I) and renewable energy integration (REI) projects.
“Under the PM-KUSUM initiative, we have an additional 43 MW (AC) of solar projects in the works, all scheduled for commissioning soon. Additionally, with 120 MW of wind energy projects from SJVN and SECI ready for construction, we are well-positioned to play a key role in advancing India’s renewable energy mission,” said Gnanajothi Anandan, Head of EPC at Datta Infra.
The Bhagwa solar installations will deliver power directly to the nearby State Grid Sub-Station (GSS), helping ensure consistent and reliable electricity supply for farmers in the region. Datta Power Infra will also oversee the operation and maintenance of these facilities for the next 25 years.
Datta Power Infra Private Limited (commonly known as Datta Infra) is a prominent Indian renewable energy and infrastructure firm, led by CEO & MD Varchasvi Gagal. Under his leadership, the company has rapidly expanded its footprint—executing over 10 GW in just four years, including landmark projects like a 4 GW solar park in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
Datta Infra functions as both an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) and an Independent Power Producer (IPP), delivering end-to-end turnkey solutions—ranging from land acquisition and transmission lines to building substations and managing operations. It has signed significant PPAs, including a 70 MW wind project with SJVN and a 50 MW wind PPA with SECI and recently commissioned multiple solar projects under the PM‑KUSUM scheme in Rajasthan, totalling over 5 MW AC with more in the pipeline. With an expanding presence across numerous Indian states and a robust ₹2,800 crore order book, the company is looking to scale further via its new EPC subsidiary, Power Sprout Solutions, and investments—such as the ₹5,000 crore MoU in Rajasthan aiming for 1 GW in renewable capacity.
