SKF India introduced a range of new environmentally conscious bearing products and maintenance services at the second ISEA Tech & Innovation Summit. These innovations are designed to boost machinery efficiency, extend equipment lifespan, and contribute to reduced environmental impact across sectors such as energy, cement, and heavy industry.

One of the standout products on display was the SKF Energy Efficient Deep Groove Ball Bearing, developed for compact industrial motors. This bearing cuts friction by over 25%, enhances motor performance, and has twice the service life of standard versions—while also helping cut down on carbon output. It has already been approved by several major Indian equipment manufacturers.

For high-demand applications like high-pressure grinding rolls (HPGR) in the mining and cement industries, SKF rolled out sealed spherical roller bearings that drastically cut grease usage—by up to 99%—and last up to three times longer, resulting in less downtime and reduced upkeep expenses. The company also launched four-row cylindrical roller bearings that offer better lubrication, greater resistance to wear, and added protection against corrosion, ideal for handling heavy radial forces and axial shifts.

Another new solution included specially designed spherical roller bearings built for low-speed, high-load conditions. These are intended for use in sectors such as power generation, cement production, and textiles, and are made to operate with less friction and lower operating temperatures.

On the services front, SKF showcased a unified solution for large-size bearings. This includes remanufacturing options, real-time monitoring systems, and tools for improving reliability. These offerings have already proven effective in industries like sugar processing, where they’ve helped extend bearing life by up to a decade and reduced delivery times. With these new technologies and services, SKF continues to focus on real-world improvements that support both operational performance and environmental responsibility—combining engineering advancements, practical tools, and industry expertise.

SKF is a global leader in providing advanced solutions that enhance industrial performance and sustainability. The company supports industries in improving the efficiency, reliability, and environmental impact of rotating equipment through a comprehensive portfolio that includes bearings, seals, lubrication systems, condition monitoring, and services. Established in 1907, SKF operates in around 130 countries with approximately 17,000 distributor locations worldwide. In 2023, SKF recorded annual sales of SEK 103,881 million and employed over 40,000 people globally.
