ACME Solar Holdings has entered into a long-term agreement with NHPC Limited, a government-owned entity, to supply 250 megawatts of electricity from a renewable energy project located in Rajasthan. The agreement, formalized through a 25-year power purchase contract, has been signed at a tariff rate of ₹4.56 per kilowatt-hour, ensuring a minimum annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 40% and covering at least 90% of the daily four-hour peak demand.
The firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project will combine solar, wind, and battery storage technologies to deliver reliable, clean electricity. The initiative reflects ACME Solar’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in the FDRE segment while contributing to India’s broader goal of sustainable energy development. The electricity will be routed through the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), with connectivity already established.
The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) approved the tariff under Section 63 of the Electricity Act, 2003, on June 19, 2025. This regulatory clearance paves the way for the project’s implementation, reinforcing ACME Solar’s role as a key player in delivering dependable renewable energy solutions.
With this agreement, ACME Solar’s total power purchase agreement portfolio has reached 5,130 MW, including 2,826.2 MW already in operation. The remaining capacity is in various phases of development. The company’s portfolio is primarily aligned with central government entities, which account for 86% of its power offtake, while the remaining 14% is contracted with state utilities. ACME Solar operates a diversified renewable energy platform of 6,970 MW across solar, wind, hybrid, and FDRE technologies.
