Hypertherm Associates, a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in industrial cutting equipment and software, has officially increased the warranty period on its Powermax plasma systems from three years to six years. This extended warranty applies to all Powermax systems purchased and delivered on or after January 1, 2025, with eligibility also covering units already shipped since that date.
“We’re committed to providing dependable equipment that metalworkers can count on,” said Erik Brine, General Manager at Hypertherm Associates. “By doubling our warranty length, we’re reinforcing that commitment and showing full confidence in the durability of our technology.”
The Powermax product line features seven compact, high-performance plasma systems designed for both manual and automated cutting and gouging. These systems handle metal thicknesses up to 38 mm (1.5 inches) and are known for their versatility across a wide range of fabrication tasks. Customers do not need to register or take additional steps to benefit from the new warranty terms, though they should keep documentation showing the delivery date of their unit.

Its products are used globally in industries such as shipbuilding, aerospace, construction, and renewable energy.
