Maini Precision Products Ltd (MPPL), part of the Raymond Group, has signed a new long-term agreement with France-based Safran Aircraft Engines to supply assembled components for the CFM LEAP engine program. MPPL currently supplies turbine vanes and other precision-forged and machined metal parts to Safran. The new agreement expands this partnership to include machined assemblies used in the combustors of LEAP engines, which power single-aisle commercial aircraft.
The two companies have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that reinforces the role of Indian manufacturers in the global aerospace supply chain and supports Safran’s continued engagement with local production under its “Make in India” strategy. The contract covers an initial term of five years and reflects MPPL’s continued focus on delivering complex metallic components for global aerospace programs.
Dominique Dupuy, Vice President of Purchasing at Safran Aircraft Engines, said: “We have worked with MPPL for 25 years on CFM56 and LEAP engine parts. This new agreement reflects our confidence in their capabilities and supports the LEAP program’s growing production needs, while further strengthening our industrial base in India.”
