Juniper Green Energy announced the successful commissioning of the 59 MWp solar component in its 75 MW hybrid power project in Wardha, Maharashtra. The solar plant was completed ahead of schedule on June 6, 2025, finishing 17 months before the planned timeline.
This solar installation is part of Juniper’s larger Juniper Green Power Five Project, which features a combined capacity of 75 MW, consisting of 75 MW of solar power and an additional 26.4 MW from wind energy. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project was signed with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) on November 18, 2024.
The full project’s commercial operation is set for November 17, 2026. The completion of this solar component marks a significant milestone towards the full operation of the hybrid project.
“Delivering our Karanja Hybrid Project ahead of schedule, following the successful launch of Chapalgaon, showcases our ability to execute projects efficiently and meet our timelines,” said Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy.
