INA Solar has entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with SC Exact Equipment, a China-based company, to establish a 3 GW turnkey solar cell production line in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. The project is part of INA Solar’s broader expansion in the renewable energy sector.
The company is setting up a comprehensive manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram that will include a 4 GW solar module production line, a 3 GW solar cell production line, and an aluminum frame capacity of 54,000 metric tons. The land for the project has already been secured, and construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of FY26, with the 3 GW solar cell line expected to be operational by the first half of FY27.
Currently, INA Solar manufactures mono PERC and TOPCon n-type solar modules at its Rajasthan facility, which has a capacity of 950 MW. The company is also in the process of setting up a 3 GW solar module production line in Jaipur, which it anticipates will be up and running in the next four to six weeks.
With this new project, INA Solar is significantly scaling up its production capacity to meet the growing demand for solar energy solutions in India and beyond. The Narmadapuram facility will play a key role in strengthening the company’s position in the global solar market. The establishment of the 3 GW solar cell line aligns with INA Solar’s vision to lead the renewable energy transition in India, contributing to the country’s ambitious solar energy goals and supporting its clean energy future.
